Practicing Gratitude 4.11.20 (Corona Week 4)

- Just finished week 4 of Coronoa Quarantine... about three more weeks projected of stay-home orders. I seriously can't believe it's been a month already, I hate that so many people are struggling and  I'm (mostly) taking in every single day, grateful for the rest in our typically full life

- Just sitting around the kitchen... on a normal weekday... this is so crazy

- People's creativity continues to make me laugh - SO thankful for laughter!

- Wow what a story. Just read this week. A unique life, a unique story, so grateful Marcus Brotherton got it down in words for us

- Corbin's work, how much he enjoys the people he gets to work with. And he got to work from home a day last week, still going into the office most days

both working from home - guess which one had the zoom call and which one did not
- Mexican Train and Spoons

- Palm Sunday
Do we come with a hammer or with Hosanna? (ty Ann Voskamp)
Cappy and Daboo's Palm Sunday
- Hud's sensitivity with Mr. Nash

- Bran's creativity - play writing, song writing... somehow he's written more songs with no musical backgound / training

- She is officially an SCS Eagle!

- Taking walks as a family - I honestly thought those days were behind us - years behind us. A few nights ago the four of us headed out and then Essie decided she didn't want to miss out and showed up on a neighbor's golf cart. And then sweet Yvette - on a walk with her family - stopped to snap pics for us!

- An hour with these BU (life-giving) friends

- Corbin's weekend breakfasts

- Continuing to enjoy Bible Recap, such a strong resource for reading through the Bible

- This one's college choice - future Baylor Bear right here! (Julia not Basden - yet!)

- Snapchat tutorial

- Porch party with Cappy and Daboo

- Essie rewatching Baylor football games, hearing yells and screams coming from her room. This and learning the Baylor fight song dance from Becca's tryout video

- Sitting in the sun on a chaise lounge next Corbin on a work call

- Beyond Blood - wow this is fascinating. Amy and Trey gave these to us for Christmas and I'm just now reading, but with Kenya ahead for Corbin and girls this summer (maybe), so interesting to see this story unfold

- Basden and Essie learning cheers and dances for tryouts - together

- Gorgeous weather, gorgeous sunsets

- A little "happy" that showed up in our yard from the Cooks, who also happen to be fabulous next door neighbors. Kim and I are making the most of this sheltering thing with shopping from each other's pantries and refrigerators

- Working from home. I think this has made my gratitude list every week

- She's totally hanging in there with this whole sheltering thing waaaay better than I would have imagined. Very helpful that most of her friends are sheltering in as well

- Hud connecting with Auburn future friends... he's got his sights set

- Remembering and missing Stephanie this Easter week especially

- Anticipating the tall, blonde kid coming home today

- Watching a morning rain storm come in from the back patio. Again, these are just things we don't typically have the time to sit still and watch.

- Little Women, I Still Believe, Designated Survivor, Windsors, Ten Commandments... just a few of the things we've gotten to watch this week. Hud and Corbin could add a couple more sci/fi films to their list

- Amen and amen
