Practicing Gratitude 6.22.15

- A good, safe weekend in Roundrock / Georgetown this weekend with Hud’s tournament, traveling home in the storm with girls and Daboo

- Elizabeth Elliot’s life ~ arrival in Heaven yesterday ~ her profound affect on me and so many

- A rainy morning ~ sitting on back porch with coffee ~ divine!

- A morning with my girls to bake rum cakes for Father’s day (and that they were scared to taste the batter)

- "Learn to laugh at yourself more freely. When you desire and accept my will above all else, life becomes much less threatening. Laughter lightens your load and lifts your heart." - Jesus Calling

- $$ in the bank. I don't want to take it for granted that we can pay our bills each month. Provision of Corbin's hard work, the Lord's gift of Radiology Associates and the people he gets to work alongside

- The comfort of this: Know therefore that the Lord your God is God ~ he is faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. Deut 7:9

- Our home, what a gift it is to get to raise our children here

- Corbin home from Denver. That when he travels, it makes me so grateful he doesn't have to travel much. Easier now than when the kids were tiny, but I just miss him

- A SUNNY morning on our back porch

- A great Gathering in the pool house last night - lots of high school kids, seemed really sweet time of worship for them

- Cross’ fight with another dog last night ~ that the other dog wasn’t hurt too badly, and Bran’s hand could be worse... really scary moment, right as all the high school kids were walking in. Craziness. David Breedlove here to bandage Bran's hand as the Gathering was getting under way

- Gardening Moments. More than I would ask for, but productive. We're all learning

- Your armor, esp the Belt of Truth. Praying for my children for kindness and truth. The Belt of Truth ~ holds up garments, lets us move freely without tripping or falling. We can count on You to bring the truth we need to mind as we face each temptation

- A night with our WHOLE FAMILY last night. After hud’s 7 on 7 games, the six of us (and only the six of us!) went to see Inside Out ~ an interesting Pixar movie. Certainly came away with mixed reviews, but it definitely provoked conversation

- Corbin taking Bran fishing before his Saturday morning baseball games

- Cool breeze on the porch this morn. that I could sleep late, and I’m still the only one up

- That Corbin takes such amazing care of the pool - in his spare moments - that he maintains it and it's sparkling and beautiful

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles...   1 Chronicles 16:11-12
